Beautiful sunny weather and calm, even glassy, sea today. On our Classic morning tour we were watching 4 minke whales, in the area around green buoy. They were all showing themselves for 3-5 breaths at the time and stay just couple of minutes underwater, so we had plenty of time to have a really good look of them. There were also few pods of harbor porpoises around, actively feeding, with Arctic terns above them. With the Express morning tour we ventured further North where we found 5 Humpback whales by Hauganes! They were feeding on and of and napping on and of as well, one of the humpies was by itself, but the other were paired in duos. During the afternoon tours we headed towards Hauganes where we spotted the crazy whales soup again, it seemed that the number of Humpbacks was 6 this time, a however, not all of them were fluking to verify it on sight. But they were not the only ones, there was at least 6 different bird species feeding in the area as well as several Harbour porpoise pods and 1 Minke whale. And on top of this on the way back we also spotted a small minke whaleN Svalbarðseyri.
