Today the sunny skies persisted as well as the mirror-like fjord. Our first sighting was a minke whale who got quite curious around our bout next to Svalbarðseyri, and splashing around it were some Harbour porpoises as well. After a wile we kept our sailing north to try end find something else, and we did! A Humpback whale was super relaxed swimming North of Svalbarðseyri, in an area only 6m deep. We were even able to the the whole body of the whale beneath the water which was incredible. During the afternoon tours, the few morning clouds lifted and the sun was shining very bright. On our way out we encountered once more 2 Minke whales next to Svalbarðseyri, calmly surfacing around us, allowing us to see how underfeed they are after spending the winter on their breeding grounds. After this nice encounter we headed north were we found non other than Munchy the Humpback whale in Arnarnesvík. It was feeding and allowing us to see its lower jaw completely extended. After a while we started heading but but as we were sailing by Svalbarðseiry another Humpback whale broke the surface on a massive lunge feed, and this time it was Proppy, the same one we saw in the morning.
