What a whaletastic day we had today! We started the morning tours with blue skies and a flat fjord. However during the day because of the wind increase the clouds set in to cover the sun and the waves picked up. During the morning tours we had our first sighting with a very nice Minke whale by Svalbarðseyri. But we wanted to find different animals so we kept sailing north. South of Hjalteyri we found the breakfast buffet… What initially looked like birds feeding revaled at least 100 Harbour porpoises all around coming up right nest to the boat as well as 2 Minke whales feeding as well. Northern gannets, guillemots, Kittewakes, black back gulls every one was having their fill. After all of this feeding action we started sailing home only to find 1 Humpback whale South of Svalbarðseyri.

During the afternoon tours we got a but wet because of the waves but still around Svalbarðseyri was still the Humpback whale we saw in the morning who decided to tail throw! as well as a sneaky Minke whale who was coming up every now and then.
