Hello everybody!

It was a windy day in Akureyri, but no rain, just some clouds and the shy sun peeking through from time to time.

We ran our two types of tours, the Classic and the Express Tour. Sailing north, we noticed that the sea was not very choppy, and we expected a bit more waves only on the way back.

Just by the geothermal chimney Strytan, we found our first Humpback whale. It was Morrigan, and we spent some time with it before moving south again, where we found two more Humpbacks, Popeye and Tripod. We saw Popeye once, and then the three of them ended up quite close to each other. As soon as the RIB boats arrived, our big boat, Hólmasól, continued a bit further north, towards the area east of Hjalteyri, where they found a fourth Humpback whale, our good friend Proppy.

In the afternoon, the weather was pretty much the same.
We did see Proppy and Morrigan feeding together closer to Hjalteyri though. The other two Humpbacks stayed further south around Strytan.
