Today the wind changed it’s mind twice; in the morning we had wind from the south like yesterday and in the afternoon it changed to North. The sea conditions were super nice, not that wet, and the sky was cloudy but with some gaps where the sun was shining warmly.
In the morning in the East of the Green Buoy we spotted Propi a Humpback whale that we had sighted these last days, and near Hjalteyri we saw Disy, the other Humpback whale that also we have been encountering these days. Even without the clear injury on Propi’s side, we can still identify them by their flukes. Disy has the fluke more white than Propi. So if you’re in the habit of reading our blog, you can have a little search of which one we’ve spotted!
In the afternoon we had one of the most magical moments of our lives! We got to meet Disy and Propi as well, which was of course amazing. Propi got interested of one our our boats and came to say hello. But the magical part was a breaching Minke Whale! It is not a common thing for us to see here in Eyjafjörður.
