Dear all,
Today we woke up to a cloudy day and a bit of wind, but in the afternoon the sun appeared to warm us up.
In the morning we came across a Humpback Whale north of Hjalteyri. It was busy feeding, chasing some nice school of fish and gave us the chance to see it’s beautiful fluke several times. We also encountered 1 Minke Whale south of the Green Buoy which was rather shy.
In the afternoon we were heading north against the wind and north of Hjalteyri we came across a Humpback Whale again, which was most likely the same whale from this morning. It was still feeding, moving very slowly and going down for several surface feeds before it went on a deep dive giving us a beautiful tail good bye.
