Who would have said what a whaletastic day was waiting for us in the fjord… We sailed out on the chilly morning breeze of -1 degrees Celsius, into a mirror-like fjord. And just outside of the fishing harbour, we had our first sighting, a group of 3 Humpback whales. But not before long, a 4th and 5th Humpback joined them, leaving us awed with this group of 5 Humpbacks. We heard some trompetinf, there was a half-body breach, and we even had some rolling on the side. However, after some time, we decided to try to find more animals, and we sailed a little further. S Svalbarðseyri, we encountered 1 Humpback whale.
