Today we had an amazing day seeing nine great humpback whales north of Hjalteyri and group of 6 Harbor porpoises close to the Akureyri.

We were incredibly lucky today.

We saw a pod of four and pod of two humpback whales north of Hjalteyri.

Today we went out on the water with amazing weather and a beautiful sunrise. The only thing missing to make the experience better was whales. It didn't take long before we met our first friend, a humpback whale. And right at the green buoy. On our way north we met another pair of humpback whales. Amazing sightings today and we can't wait for tomorrow

In total, we saw five Humpbacks and one seal on today’s tour with many incredible encounters by Hjalteyri.

We got to see ten Humpback Whales by Hjalteyri, five of which were swimming in one group. Additionally, we spotted a few Harbor Porpoises when we returned to the harbor of Akureyri.

We encountered one big pod of White-beaked Dolphins by Hjalteyri today, followed by at least 13 Humpback Whales north of Hauganes. Stunning encounters with a group of 8 Humpbacks swimming together!

We sailed in good weather conditions and spotted approximately 17 Humpback Whales southeast of Hrísey as well as a pod of Harbor Porpoises on today’s tour!

With northern wind in the fjord, we sailed out and spotted around 10 Humpback Whales southeast of Hrísey! We had great encounters with six of them, four of which swam together!

In today’s good weather conditions, we encountered 10+ Humpback Whales south of Hrísey!

We spotted two Humpback Whales by Hjalteyri, one pod of Harbor Porpoises by the green buoy on the way out as well as one Minke Whale on the way back by Gásir.

On today’s tour, we encountered three Humpback Whales swimming together just outside of Hauganes!

We encountered a total of four Humpback Whales by Grenivík today. We had close encounters with them, all while we could see more Humpback Whale blows in the distance further north!
