Our encounters came in the area between the Green Buoy and Hjalteyri - here spread throughout the area were 11 Humpback Whales. Many whales were familiar flukes however the 2 standout whales being both Max (Porcupine on Happy Whale) and Jubilee.

On todays tours we saw a Minke Whale round the corner out of Akureyri harbour; many White Beaked Dolphins in the area of the Green Buoy; a Humpback also South of the Green Buoy; and 5 Humpback Whales just South of Hjalteyri.
