Today we had another lovely day out in the fjord with almost no wind in the morning and bits of sunshine throughout the day. The humpback whales were quite far out but we had great close up encounters on both the morning and the evening tour. In the afternoon we took one of our RIBs and headed all the way past Hrísey. It was definitely worth the trip, as we were soon surrounded by at least 6 or 7 humpback whales! We didn´t only get to see them raise their flukes and dive very close to us but even observed some tail slapping and a full breach just as we turned to head back... Another day of spectacular sightings in Eyjafjörður!! :)
