The morning started with a light drizzle, low clouds and calm sea. We found a humpback whale south of Arnarnesnafir. It was a female named Disy - whale familiar to us since 2023. She was very nice to watch, with predictable dives’ duration and raising its beautiful fluke on every dive. While waiting her to surface, we spotted a minke whale, closer to land, in a distance. On our 10 o’clock express tour we also spotted a second humpback whale, always in Hjalteyri and we were so lucky to see the two feeding together!
During the afternoon classic and expre, we had the pleasure to find two Humpback whales next to Hjalteyri. They were feeding actively and were coming up quite often.
The tour 20:30 was a bit rainy and windy, but we were still able to see a humpback whale. She put on an amazing show for us, breaching and head-lunging throughout the trip.
