Hi everyone!

What a pleasure to be back on the water after a few days of bad weather and cancelations!

Today the weather was windy, so we canceled the morning tour, but around noon, the wind was much calmer so we decided to go out at 13:00. We headed North from Akureyri looking out for whales. We started by spotting a Minke whale next to the green bouey. We got quickly surrounded by a big group of harbour porpoise chasing fish at the surface.

We then saw two blows before Hjalteyri and headed towards it. Our captain anticipated the whale behavior, and a minute later, a big Humpback whale surfaced next to us! We enjoyed its company for a while, realized there was another blow close by, so we went to check out this other Humpback whale before turning around with smiles on our faces!
