Good afternoon for anyone interested in today’s daily blog post,

Cloudy, windless and occasional rain showers throughout this morning.

We have encountered 1 Humpback Whale East of Hjalteyri, surface feeding with very short diving intervals. It is always nice to have such active whale as usually one has to be more patient to see it surfacing. By Rauðavík we also saw 1 Minke Whale and there was a pod of Harbour Porpoises as well.

In the afternoon, the weather was unchanged and we found the same Humpback whale at the same place. We could recognize it due to the pattern on its flukes. It was still feeding close to the surface, a real all you can eat sea food buffet for this whale!
