The morning started with a heavy curtain of fog in the fjord and we could not see far. When we got closer to Hjalteyri the fog lifted and revealed a completely glassy sea, blue skis, sun and the snow covered mountains all around us. The beautiful weather continued for the rest of the day.

By Hjalteyri we encountered two Minke Whales which then was accompanied by two Humpback Whales. One of the Humpack Whales showed it’s fluke multiply times. The whales were in the same area for the whole day giving us amazing encounters.
