Today, we started with a temperature of -3 degrees and a flat, windless fjord. Once again, it didn’t take long to spot a blow. E Svalbarðseyri, we spotted our 1st Humpback whale. Quickly realising close by, there were also 3 more Humpback whales.

We were having a very nice time with these Humpbacks and then… Bam! An amazing display of head lunging, pectoral fins slapping, and breaching occurred, leaving all of us breathless. And of course, just like 2 days before, it was Piccolo having the time of its life. But it wasn’t alone… 2 more Humpback whales were around it. All of this was happening N of Svalbarðseyri. Today was, most definitely, an amazing day with a total of 7 Humpback whales.
