Today we set sail under a completely blue sky and the sun peaking behind the mountains. With barely and wind we had a very nice and smooth fjord ahead of us.
When we made our way north of the fjord the sun started shining behind us making it very easy for us to spot opur first blow. It belonged to a solitary and sneaky Minke whale, N Svalbarðseyri. But this whale didn’t seem very interested on us, so we decided to keep sailing north searching for something larger. And just by Hjalteyri we had our first Humpback whale sighting. However we quicly realized it was not 1, but 2 Humpback whales. Both of them franticly feeding and swimming every where looking for the food. And of course between both of them we could consistently see several Harbour Porpoises around the area.
