Today, it was a bit windy and snowy, but overall fine to sail out!
Just after leaving the harbor of Akureyri, we spotted two Humpback Whales. Once again, these were the same whales, that we have seen close to town in the last days.
We spent some time, watching them in Pollurinn. The Humpbacks were feeding and came up to breathe very frequently! A beautiful sight.
Later on, we sailed further out to search the area north of Akureyri and we encountered our two Humpback Whales in the harbor of Akureyri on our way back.
We watched them surface several times again, still lunge feeding and lifting flippers above the surface close to our boat!
A stunning day to watch whales in Eyjafjörður!
