Hello all! Today the sun enjoyed a good game of hide and seek, but the mountains were standing clear in all their greatness, with the peaks covered in snow and ice. As we sailed out of Akureyri harbour, we were surprised about not finding any whales close to home. We thought they would be right there, just like yesterday, waiting for us. But it seems as they had their own agenda, of course! We ended up spotting them far up north, just before the island of Hrísey, and met many razorbills along the way! As we sailed past Hjalteyri we faced a slight swell, only to be surprised about the calmness of the waters just past Hauganes. And it was between this town and the island that we found our dearest friends, three different humpback whales!
