The sky was covered with clouds today but still very bright and illuminating the snow on the mountains. We had a rib tour in the morning and we saw a few great northern divers and black guillemots just at the exit of the harbour. After 5 minutes we had a first stop to observe a 6-8 harbour porpoises separated in two groups. We went further out in the fjord and saw more of those adorable cetaceans porpoising around. We also found a group of 4-5 harbour porpoises in the classic tour of the afternoon but much further than in the morning. We saw big flocks of long-tailed ducks, northern fulmars and even a few northern gannets which are the largest sea birds of Iceland. We did not find any whale today so we gave complimentary tickets to our passengers, to offer them a new classic whale-watching tour in the next two years in Reykjavík or Akureyri.

Departures today: 10:00 Express, 13:00 Classic
