Hello there! Today we again had great conditions in our fjord with calm weather and good visibility.
We sailed out on our morning tours and already spotted the first Humpback Whales just north of the green buoy. We had several beautiful encounters and spotted even more blows further north. We sailed further and sure enough spotted more and more Humpback Whales south of Hjalteyri. They were all around the fjord, we saw blows in the distance as well as close to us. We had many great encounters and got to have a good look at these animals! Some of them were swimming in pairs of two or even in groups of three, diving at the same time and resurfacing close to our boats. It was absolutely amazing and we were in awe of all these Humpback Whales! Additionally to this, we also briefly saw a Minke Whale.
What a beautiful day with a total of around 20 Humpback Whales near and far as well as one Minke Whale on our tours today!
