The Pilot Whales are in the harbour of Akureyri!!! This morning we started our tour with a big surprise, and after releasing the ropes of our boat Holmasol we spotted the big group of Long-finned Pilot Whales right inside the harbour! We spent a good time observing these large dolphins coming up, breathing, spy-hopping and even showing the fluke. We sailed up north for quite a long time and finally we found a Humpback whale, that didn´t show its tail to us… Luckily in our way back, we spotted another blow that belonged to another Humpback whale, and this individual delighted us raising the fluke, and in our second tour we managed to spend longer time with this whale that surfaced quite close to the boat and lifted the fluke in most of its dives.
