Black Friday! and another stroke of luck for us! It was worth choosing whale watching over crazy shopping today as we had a stunning tour today with two Humpback Whales! We started from Akureyri and sailed out a little further north than Hjalteyri to found one whale just beyond the green buoy and another one a bit further out. As the wind was piking up, we didn’t stay with the second whale. Clearly he was busy feeding going for long dives and moving a lot so we didn’t want to disturb him and came back to our first whale which turned out to be Depill! We kept her company and had few very nice encounters, it seemed she was very curious of us today.
