Sailing out the fjord today was exiting like always, we started the day with a whale watching tour at 9 o‘clock and it was a joy seeing the sun coming up brightening the mountains in our beautiful fjord. It was a cold morning so the warm overalls, heated saloon and hot drinks available on board was highly appreciated. The sea condition was good and there for we had a smooth tour. We did not have to sail far out to find a whale close to Hjalteyri we saw a new humpback whale, one that we have not seen in the fjord before. We gave that whale the name Secret. We had such a lovely time with this whale, coming up regularly to breath and giving us a nice time. Again we headed out the fjord on our 1 o‘clock tour curious what we might find. This time we sailed close to Hrísey,  we saw three spouts coming out of the water and there we encountered Pepper, Giljagaur and Ocelet together, before we knew it we had three more humpback whales in the area and close together we saw Ethan and Perla. All the humpback whales came very close to the boat and we had such a nice time with them. The tour ended with a beautiful breach when Ocelet jumped out of the water just in front of the boat revealing it‘s whole body. That was quite the show we got on today‘s tour. Few passenger got pictures of the amazing jump!! Great day to say the least here in our fjord today.
