We sailed out with some typical Icelandic summer weather, clouds and rain. But luckily there was not a lot of wind, so we experienced some quite smooth sailing because there was not a lot of swell in the Fjord. Luckily the whales do not mind rain, we encountered 4 different humpback whales around Hjalteri, the old herring factory. The individuals we encountered were: Pringles, Giljagur, Flall and Cascade. During the last tour we had quite heavy rain but we had our red overalls to keep people dry and we got lucky because Pringles, Giljagur and Fjall decided to come together as a small group. We got great views of the three of them swimming and diving together. On our way back from the second tour we got a big surprise from Cascade who decided to jump out of the water completely. So it was well worth getting wet for.
