It surely felt freezing on the water today, the temperature was minus seven degreases and the wind increased throughout the tour. Sometimes the waves were large enough to splash over the bow of the boat, soaking those of us that stood there. In such conditions, it surely feels brilliant wearing our thick overalls that keep us dry and warm! Our first sighting was a humpback whale that traveled alone and seemed elusive, only surfacing once between dives. We went further out to search for other animals and found another individual that behaved in a similar way. On our way back we came across two individuals that traveled together and were much easier to absorb. We saw their flukes a few times and were able to identify them Samsung and Porthos. I cannot wait getting out there again tomorrow.
