Circumstances were incredible today in Eyjafjord, sunshine and silky smooth water. During the morning tour the humpback whales were a bit sleepy, they surfaced very slowly and went down for long periods of time. In the afternoon the animals seemed to be in a social mood, we spotted a group of 4! animals several times. The animals surfaced very close to each other and synchronizing their deep dives, it was amazing to watch. Then all of the sudden three of the group surfaced very near the boat and headed straight towards us, diving under just in front of the boat. What an incredible sight! Two of the individuals we knew, they were Ardnar and Perlan. It was so beautiful seeing these animals move together so synchronized, and with the weather being so lovely, it was an incredible day!
