Weather-wise, today was definitely on the challenging side with strong northern wind and medium waves increasing further north. Oh yeah, there was some precipitation as well in the morning of course. But we are strong sailors and go out to find some whales.

In the morning and afternoon tours, the guide spotted a Minke Whale, which then disappeared. But we found a Humpback Whale, unfortunately, we didn’t see the fluke or much of the whale, only the blow. On the other hand, we did spot a few Harbour Porpoises every now and then. all of them hanging around N Svalbarðseyri.

During our first Mid-nigt tour we encountered a couple of extremely sneaky Minke whales but the bird life was indeed amazing with Razorbills, Kittewakes, Great nothern Divers, Nothern Fulmars
