Another sunny day in the fjord and with flat seas and clear sky we sailed out again to look for the whales! It’s getting a bit colder out there but the landscape still looks like summer is in it’s full spirit. This morning we went out from Akureyri heading towards north and found a very relaxed humpback whale Jubilee right next to Hrisey Island. In the afternoon we’ve got to enjoy his company even more as he stayed in the area through out the day and Express tours have also had amazing encounters with this whale. Our fish finder was showing a lot of fish close to the surface. There was a moment when the whale went out more north but only briefly and came back in staying around Hrisey area so most likely he was very happy with the amount of fish that was staying withing the fjord today. Incredibly interesting tours today!

Departures today: 9:00 & 13:00 Classic, 10:00 & 12:00 & 14:00 Express
