In the morning we had overcast here in Akureyri, but exactly in time for our tour at one o'clock the sun made it through some of the clouds. We really enjoyed sailing with the sun shining in our faces. The whales were at their usual spot not too far out from Akureyri. First we encountered Mariner and Frankenstein and spent about 20 minutes with them before we found our well known individuals Needle and Reykja. While being with them alternately, we also saw the new individual which has been seen in the fjord for 3 days now. It is just awesome to still see that many humpbacks in the fjord, it really is a humpback hub here. The last part of the trip we spent with Dark Knight and King Louis who were travelling together once more. So in total we had 7 humpbacks whales around us and we did not even have to go out that far. Simply fantastic!
