Sailing in the fjord turned out to be a bumpy, windy, but sunny experience n this Monday in May. The humpback whales were matching this activity level by moving around and covering large distances. Between Akureyri and Hjalteyri we could find up to 5 different individual humpback whales. Marie, Depill and Moonshine were three individuals we recognized. Mainly feeding and traveling they did not seem to mind the cold winds and showed us the flukes in their beloved manner. A nice day out at sea.
