What a wonderful day we had today. We started off in the sunshine this morning until we sailed into the fog. And then we saw "a humpback in the mist". Just when we were about to head back to Akureyri, this beautiful creature started to breach and joyfully slapped the flippers around. What a great goodbye that was. The fog cleared up and on our afternoon tour we almost had to sail to the end of the fjord for some close encounters with a humpback. This one proudly showed off the tail with the unique print underneath. The print is like the fingerprint with humans and we can identify the individual humpback whales by looking at their tails. Come with us if you want to check some humpback tails for yourself.
