The morning of shortest day of the year was a cold, clear one. We sailed out, breaking the ice as we made our way into the fiord. After 30 minutes we spotted the first cetacean of the day, a Humpback whale going for a dive in the distance. To our surprise, upon arrival we found indeed 4 other individuals swimming quite close to the same spot. Threfore, we decided to stay on the area - and gladly. We were lucky enough to enjoy the whales swimming underneath the bow of our boat! Once more, we got thrilled with the majesty of these incredible creatures.
