The weather was quite lovely today, on winter equinox, however it was also very cold! Sea conditions were a little rough at times, but we didn't let that effect us in the least! We sailed quite far out into the fjord in hopes that we would find whales there, but unfortunately no luck - we were even starting to think that maybe this weeks earthquake might have scared the whales away.. At least the great scenery and snow capped mountains kept us busy in our search. Just as we were losing hope we found a couple of Humpback whales swimming together in mid-fjord. We watched them for a while before heading back to the harbour, happy with another successful tour in Eyjafjord. What a great end to today's tour!
